Wearables & eTextiles
Saturdays 2:45 – 4:15 pm
7 Weeks: April 27, May 4, 11, 18, June 1, 8, 15
All ages 8+, see necessary skills below.
Explore the possibilities where textiles, circuits and new technologies like 3D printing collide. We’ll use multiple technologies to create accessories, artwork and we’ll even borrow from the world of costume design. In this session we’ll begin to upload prewritten code on Arduino microcontrollers, giving some of our students their first peek at non-block coding language. We’ll decipher the code and have the ability to change it and customize our creations. The price includes a $45 materials fee, which covers the cost of microcontrollers and components. Students take their projects home.
