Music, Games, Pranks & Wearables with Microcontrollers (Late Winter)

5 Weeks. Saturdays Mar. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30.

2:45 – 4:15 pm

Ages 9 – 12

Makers this class is for you! It combines creative construction, simple coding with block code, and whimsy! We’ll build physical creations that we make move, light up, or play music with microcontrollers. And yes, some of them definitely fall into the prank category–because we learn best when having fun! This session we have new projects to explore. No repeats!

Skills covered:

  • basics of coding
  • elements of physical computing
  • how to connect and code peripherals (lights, sensors, motors)
  • design process & iteration

* In an effort to keep costs down, we will reuse our microcontrollers. If you would like to take a project home, the Circuit Playground Express is available for an additional $30 materials fee.
